Paintings of the Nude 2
The first Oil Nude i did was below the Fire of Woman. i started with a very simple shape to ease myself into it but found the single colour really effective and loved doing this painting. It was a real revalation to me how sensual the oils could be for painting the nude not just for the result but for the enjoyment of painting. I would love to do more paintings of small areas of the body in the future and just concentrate on the feel of the body.

Expectation was a throughly enjoyable (although frustrating) painting to do. She gave me a chance to bring the curves of her pregnant bump and breasts to life. Women like her is 1 of the main reasons why i love painting pregnant women, the energy and beauty of the pregnant figure is amazing.
